How to find a phone when it's dead

I lost my phone yesterday and it's dead \: I didn't go anywhere so it has to be in my house, but I've looked everywhere! And cannot find it and I have to go to the airport in 2 days and I need my phone

If it's dead (no battery) there's not a lot you can do.

Basically, go hunting through places you might have left it.

It's in the last place you left it. There is no way to find a $device that is dead or actually off, other than thinking real hard and looking around.

*If* you installed extra GPS tracking software installed in your phone, you likely could look up its last location, but that would only realistically tell you if you left it in your house or at the grocer a mile away. If you're sure it's in your house, your only real solution is to look some more.

Or, if you're like me, give up and stop looking, which will immediately cause it to turn up.

Gather friends and family and conduct a thorough search of your home. Seriously though, other than a physical search, you have no other option.
