How to find a stolen HP 540 laptop

Hello,
My HP 450 Laptop has been stolen. I used internet through it. I have its Serial number and System ID. now please give me some info to find out the thief.

Sorry but I think this is impossible. The person who stole it can go on the internet but you won't be able to tell. Theoretically it could possibly be done but practically I doubt it.

If there were systems that would check the MAC address of your laptop then at some point it could be identified but I doubt anybody is doing this. sorry.
