How to Fix a Frozen Samsung Galaxy Tablet

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tablet that is completely frozen. It won't do anything. Please help!

I also had a frozen Samsung tablet & holding down the Volume + Power buttons reset the tablet without incident! Thanks for the advice/solution.

I have tried all of these suggestions. Nothing is working. This thing is so froze, all it does is let me see the screen where she does her finger pattern password. But it won't let her do the pattern.

Hold the power button and volume down button at the sametime. If done correctly the screen will turn black and automatically start the reboot process.

Actually you are supposed to press up and down on the android phones volume bye bye

well after 2 years of good job my galaxy note 8 started often to freeze, i restarting and after 15-30 min it freeze again and again so what to do:
1. Go to Setting -> Application Manager -> All Applications and open TouchWiz easy and TouchWiz home one by one
2. Clear the data and force stop the. Do this for both. (after doing this you will see 0.00kb under each app) (all apps from desktop will be gone, don't worry they are still installed)
3. Press the power button and restart the device and test if the problem is gone.

If the problem comes up again then may need to factory reset it.
Don't forget backup up so that u can restore it later on.

OMG thank u my tablet was frozen on the youtube screen and wouldent turn off and i was searching for lik 20 min for a soulution and your worked thank you sooooo much this thing costed 300$

Mine's a similar scenario but a bit terrible. I had the tablet cnnected to charger while using it then all of a sudden the screen went all black, keys at the bottom are still lighting up but non responsive. holding down power button didnt do anything. so I held the Power + Vol down button for almost a minute, then the tblet completely turned off.

Now i had to turn it back on. Held Power + Vol DOWN + Home, nothing. Held Vol down button, nothing. Held Power + Vol UP + Home, nothing. Im starting to think this is a battery issue. I've never had this problem since i purchased this tablet 9 months ago. so weird. now i have the tablet connected to the charger but even the battery charging status is not showing. Tablet is completely turned off. If this is still the case tom i will bring the unit to the store for repairs. Unless you guys can provide me any other solutions. Thanks.

Tried every thing but still black screen....it respond, like i can hear the apps when i randomly click the screen and other things also tried that hold 10 sec thing . i can hear it close the samsung tab and open again but still black screen..
