how to fix a traveltek that has lines on the screen

Hello I just got my son a 7" traveltek tablet and I don't know what is wrong with it. I turn it on and there is just a screen with lines going through it and I reset and everything and nothing works. Please help!!!

It sounds like the flex cable going to the screen has come loose. Since you just got it, I would return it to where you bought it.
