Polk PSW650 Sub Woofer has a buzz sound, but the bass speakers still work. How can I stop the buzzing sound?

If the sub makes no buzzing with the input disconnected then it sounds like you may have a ground loop. This means that there are two ground connections being made between the sub and the receiver. If the sub has a 3 prong ac cord then you can use a 3 to 2 adapter to break the ground connection between the AC cords of the sub and receiver.

The other ground connection is made through the input cable of the sub. You can use a ground isolating transformer if needed

If the buzzing happens when the sub is not connected to the receiver then the fault is in the subwoofer electronics. Contact Polk for service. Nice folks to deal with.

This is an old model. Did you get this recently? What did you pay for it?
If it cost you around 500$, then I'd seriously consider returning it and getting one of Rythmik or HSu or SVS or Outlaw Audio. You wont look back with one of these. A 500$ -600$ sub would be a start!
