Solution COLGeek Jan 9, 2018 Connect to an external display now (not as a repair) and see if the white line shows up there as well. If it shows up on an external display, the motherboard with its integrated video adapter is the problem. If the white line is not shown on an external display, then only your internal display needs to be replaced.
