Terminating an Android app on your smartphone forcefully is similar to ending the non-responding tasks from the Task Manager in your Windows-based PC.
Just as the case is with PC applications, sometimes the Android mobile apps behave obnoxiously too.
While using your Android smartphone, many times you might have faced the situation where you get stuck with any app which has stopped responding abruptly. When this happens, many new users try to power off their mobile phones, or some even take the batter out of their phones out altogether.
Although all the above procedures resolve the issue, they are time taking processes which sometimes corrupt the culprit app and/or many other apps as well. In order to avoid this, Android allows you to terminate any culprit app forcefully right from the ‘Settings’ section of your smartphone.
Here’s how:
- ■Turn on your Android smartphone if it is not already powered on.
■Tap the Menu icon to go to the apps list.
■Locate and tap the Settings icon.
■On the Settings interface, tap the Apps option under the DEVICE section.
■Once the Apps interface opens up, tap the desired non-responding app that you want to stop. (E.g. Adobe Reader in this demonstration).
■Once done, on the App info window, tap the Force stop button.
■Finally, tap the OK button on the Force stop? pop up box to forcefully stop the app.
