so i have this problem where i can't seem to find an answer for on the internet.

so i have an amplifier that is able to amplify 4 speakers and a powered subwoofer.but it only seems to have left and right because it doesn't have a decoder for surround sound.so when i try to go in realteck audio and i set audio to quadrofonic(2 in the front and 2 in the back) and i do the test, when it sends sound to the left front speaker,my left front speaker and left back speaker make sound, same with the right speakers.and when it tests the back speakers, nothing makes sound at all.
does anybody know how i can solve this problem with maybe using my speaker cables that are + and - putting in a different order because i know that's possible but not for the surround effect i want.maybe an externel surround decoder>thanks for the help

you can't, those 4 outputs are just 2 sets of left and right, probably off the same internal amp. It also doesn't have 4 line in for the same input, i.e. LF LR RF RR.

You'd have to be able to input 1 going to speaker set A and input 2 to speaker set B AT THE SAME TIME, which generally isn't a feature.

yeah,i know, that is why i made this thread.if anyone maybe knows something how it is possible, but i don't think there is a way without buying an amp with a matrix decoder(surround sound)
