How to get incoming text messages to stop repeating

Got a replacement phone and couldn't believe it. On my new phone, incoming text messages will rrandomly repeat over and over again ...for days. Make it stop!
2nd phone. Same problem. Make it Stop!

Which phone is it?
Any apps installed by yourself?

Firmware is up to date?
All updates done?

is it always the same text message? block the number of the incoming messages

Have your friend (assuming it is someone you know) check with their carrier/service provider about the issue. It could be on their end. You should also check with your carrier/service provider to make sure it isn't on your carrier's/service provider's end.
