How to get sound from sound bar not tv from toshiba 37 cv505d to Samsung hw-j250

Please help the sound is still coming from tv and not the sound bar with optical cable

In the TV's menu, go to the Sound section and tell it to output the sound to the same port your soundbar is connected to.

You MAY have to turn the optical output on, turn the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type in the TV audio menu. Select the optical input as your source on the soundbar.
