Netflix is quickly becoming one of the most popular streaming services available and for many of us it is now the ‘go-to’ site for those film nights with friends or family - with a vast library of titles, the only problem you should have is choosing what to watch! When you’ve settled down to watch your favourite film, you want to make sure that the quality of your video is the best you can get – right? Essentially, this is determined by the strength and speed of your internet connection, however, Netflix aims to provide you with the highest resolution possible at any given time and there is a simple way to ensure that your visual experience is always of the highest possible quality.
Here’s how to improve that video quality in a couple of easy steps:
1.Open Netflix
Look for the login icon in the top right-hand corner. Hover your mouse over the icon and a drop-down menu will appear where you will see the option to access 'Account’.
2.Select My Account
This is your very own personal Netflix control panel and you will now see that there are four options available to you. The bottom one is ‘My Profile’ and below this heading there are several 'Playback Settings’ option.
3.Select Playback Settings
This allows you to see the options for any video that you choose to watch. ‘Auto’ is the default option based on your internet connection. ‘Low’ is up to 0.3 GB per hour. ‘Medium’ provides a standard quality up to 0.7GB per hour. ‘High’ provides the highest quality - up to 3GB for HD and up to 7GB if you have Ultra HD.

There is also an ‘Auto-Play’ option which you can select that automatically plays the next episode for you.
