How To Manually Update Your Firmware On The HTC Vive

If you want to update your firmware and you are not introduced with the whole process this tutorial will guide you how to finish it successfully. Follow this steps and you will do this easily.

Step 1. Open the SteamVR application from your PC

Step 2. Check if the firmware is out of date

• 
  ■ If your firmware is out of date > click > Update base station firmware.

Step 3. The next step is to pull out the base stations from their power adapters and unmount them.

• 
  ■ With micro USB cable make a connection between the base stations and your computer.
  Connect the base stations to your PC’s USB ports.

Step 4. Plug in the base stations power adapter

• 
  ■ While you power the base stations press the Channel button ( it is placed at the back of the base stations)

Step 5. When the SteamVR app detects the base station the firmware update will start automatically.

• 
  ■ When the update is over > click done.
