How to Root the Galaxy Note 5

Can't believe this wasn't mentioned, but please be aware that rooting your Note 5 comes with risks. Not only will it void your warranty, most root methods will also trip the Knox Counter which is your Samsung device's security verification check. Once tripped, a fuse is burnt and it can't be undone. Tripping the Knox Counter will cause certain major features to no longer function, including Android Pay and Samsung Pay.

Rooting has its uses, but please be aware of what you will be giving up.

I used this method before finding this guide by following a video and I completely bricked my new phone that had only arrived about and hour earlier. Luckily I was able to use kies 3 on my computer to fix it but not long after but please be carefull is you are going to do this, tripping know can be deadly

Going to move my wireless service to AT&T (from T-Mobile). Am considering the 64MB Note 5...but, have heard that its bootloader can't be unlocked. Is that true?
