How to secure USB drive from Viruses

Hey there, i plugin my USB in different PCs on daily bases, form one or another PC, my USB get infacted, is there any program that stays inside a USB and protact it from viruses?

the problem with a software solution is a virus is ready to deal with those by bypassing them completely, the manual switch is something no virus can bypass. if the card/USB/Device can be written to it can be written to by a virus or other malware.
I'll keep looking though.

Software runs on a cpu.... thumb drives don't "run" software. You'd need antivirus running on any machine you connect to.

Disabling autorun and periodically scanning the thumb drive with MalwareFox is the way to go for me. Pretty easy and straightforward process.
