How to service a realistic STA-47 receiver

With the balance knob at 12 oclock on my Realistic STA-47, their is a noticeable increase in volume to the right channel (switched wires, same result). Is their a way to adjust this on the circuit board?

generally, sets like this have no internal balance adjustment. with something this old, the problem could be any number of things.
