how to stop verital lines on my laptop

lines keep flashing on the computer screen

Does it do it when you attach to external monitor?
If yes then it's a graphics card issue, probably non-repairable.
If it doesn't then could be connection from motherboard to LCD (either the cable is loose or bad), or it could be the LCD panel going bad.
