how to take dvr shows and put them on a disk to save

how can i take 5 shows in a series on my DVR and copy them to a disk to watch, like something you would get from NETFLIX?

You will either have to buy a machine that turns a VHS into a DVD, or you can take it up to a local shop that evertises this doing.
