How to track an laptop

Hello,
How can I track a laptop with the serial number or other things because i don't had on it any tracking software installed, only the antivirus !?

Do you meant that yours has been stolen and you want to track it back?

Cause the only thing you can do, is to declare it as stolen. Then if that robber tries to sell it to any store, they are gonna check the serial and see it was stolen. They will then give it back to policemen that will get it back to you. But if the robber does keep it or sell it to someone then you won't have it back ever...

If your laptop has been stolen, then there is nothing you can really do about it. If you knew the MAC address of your laptop (Media Access Card) then you might have a very, very slim chance of tracking it down (improbable, but not impossible).

As stated above, the best you can do is report it stolen and move on. You can purchase tracking software for your next laptop. Additionally, you should read the article below which talks about such software for some tips.
