how to track my lost laptop using microsoft account?

I lost my hp laptop.I dont have any security softwares installed in it.But I used to login my windows 8.1 os(which my laptop has) with Microsoft account .I think it will be helpfull to find the laptop in any way.Please help me to track my laptop.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to locate your laptop without the help of some type of tracking software. The laptop would also need to be on for the tracking software to function.
