Op the answer you should have been given that edogawa failed to given is to take it to the store you bought it from where they can match serial numbers to verify the phone is yours and unlock it for you.

it is but only if the device was bought after jan 26 and that law will quickly be overturned.

That's true, people don't like this law at all, I think it's wrong they did that.
