How to use your laptop as a tv

Hello,
my tv doesnt work so i wan o use my virgin box on my laptop, i know i can plug in the hdmi cable into my laptop but the image does ot appear, can u help me at all?

You need a TV Tuner card or a video capture card - make usb USB that will do what you want.

That HDMI slot on your laptop is an OUT not an IN...

I was going to add my .02 but you already got your answers. Laptops HDMI port is OUT for plugging into a TV or Monitor so you need a Capture device or TV Tuner.
