How to View Another MacBook Pro Screen from your Own

Need to work with someone else remotely but describing things over call is getting too complicated? The MacBook Pro comes with a nifty feature called screen sharing using which one can view the screen of another MacBook no matter how far away and also share their own screen as well. This feature can be used for a variety of purposes such as training, sharing of secret information, or simply allowing someone else to go through your computer. Sounds complicated? Not really. Follow these steps below to learn how to share and view another MacBook Pro screen from your own.

Step 1
Open the 'Sharing' tab from your system preferences page.

Step 2
Among the list of options provided in the ‘Sharing’ ialog box, tick ‘Remote Management’.

Next to it is another option called ‘allow access for’ and there is a ‘+’ symbol below it, click on it.

Step 4
All the users connected to your computer will be shown. Click on the desired user and hit select.

Step 5
In the next dialog box tick the ‘Observe’ option. You can also tick the other options as per necessity.

Step 6
Note the 'Username' and the 'IP Address' from this dialog box and close it.

Step 7
Search for 'Screen Sharing' on Spotlight.

Step 8
In the dialog box which appears, type in the IP address you previously noted down and click on Connect.

Step 9
Enter the 'UserID' and 'Password' of the remote computer, and click on 'Connect'.

Step 10
A screenshare window should now open up whereby you can view the remote screen’s activity. You can choose to share your own screen with the other user or a group of users as well using the same method.
