HP 2000 has a very dim screan

I can hardle see the screan,, Like its set very dark. How do I brighten it, Hooked it up tp power and its the same?? Is there anything I can do.... So dark I can hardly see anything at all

By the sounds of things the back light on your screen has dies you need to replace the screen.
