HP envy 13.3 v/s Apple MacBook Pro 13.3

Hi I have to chose between HP Envy 13 and Apple
MacBook Pro 13. I use a lot of data based platforms such as Stata / R and excel. All specs of Envy matches MacBook. i5 / 256 SSD .. Is there a reason that MacBook Pro is still a better machine (let's forget about looks for a moment) considering there's a price difference of 200 GBP I'm getting between the two. Also I've heard excel on MacBook crashed when using big datasets. But I need a good sturdy laptop on the whole. I just want to be sure if spending extra 200 GBP is worth it on Mac.

If the specs match then get the envy. Macs are generally used for multimedia purposes rather than business uses. Also its not that surprising that excel is not optimized on macs as it is a microsoft product.
