Would this be a good gaming laptop for RTS games?

hp pavillion dv6t-6c00
Processor- 2nd generation Intel Core i5-2450M (2.5 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz)
Graphics Card- 2GB AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7690M GDDR5 Discrete Graphics(TM) [HDMI, VGA]
Memory- 6GB DDR3
Hard Drive- 640GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive

I am looking for a decent gaming rig that would run games like World in Conflict, Company of Heroes, Anno 2070, etc. on high settings. Could this be a laptop that could do that?

gaming and laptop usually don't go hand to hand since you paying for portability rather than power compared to its desktop counterparts, but that laptop should get respectable frames in gaming. though i've seen many hp laptops physically break itself before(my laptop included, laptop corner locked breaking off the corner, same happened with my cousin in older dv2k series)

also whats is your laptop budget. helps to search for laptops if we knew how much you are willing to spend.

You should also ensure that, if you are going to buy an HP DV6, that your configuration includes the 1920x1080 display upgrade. Don't buy an HP DV6 in any configuration that includes the stock 1366x768 display. 15.6" 1366x768 displays make things onscreen large, and tend to have terrible image quality due to low contrast. I recommend against this type of display to those who have a budget that allows them to get a laptop that has a better display and still suits their needs, and who don't require larger text for eyesight-related reasons.

You should also get the 1GB version of the Radeon 7690M instead of the more expensive 2GB version. The game performance difference between the two is negligible.

Consider this pre-built model of the DV6 (DV6-6C53NR) that includes the 1920x1080 display and the 1GB Radeon 7690M: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/en_US/pd/HP-Pavilion-dv66c53nr/productID.243730200

I was looking at the pc on the Microsoft store. It says that the graphics card is a radeon hd 7690 xt. What does the xt mean because I have never seen that before. Also, is the card 5gb or 3gb?
