HP G62 battery

Hello guys I have a problem with a laptop battery.If I unplug the power adaptor the laptop will shut down.In windows I see the battery symbol with the red x on it.Is there sa fix for this or do i need a new battery?Thank you.

You need a new battery. The battery has been physically "used up" and can no longer sustain the chemical reactions that provide power.
