Hi there, I'm torn between these 2 laptops, a bigger 17.3" screen but apparently slower video card or a smaller 15.6" screen and apparently faster video card. Although the clock speed of the Radeon HD 7450M says it's 700 MHz the Radeon HD 6620G @ 400 MHz is faster in 3dmark? I like a big screen for a nice wallpaper and gaming as well. The 17" HP is 50 bucks off @ $650, the 15" HP @ $550... what do?

17" is betta physical dimensions but how do those processors and video cards stack up? Hope someone can help, thanks!

I'd go with the 15.6" screen. Even though the HP has a later generation graphics, it does not compare to the 6620G (http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-7450M.57211.0.html).

The 7450M is slightly slower, but I do not think using it at 1600x900 resolution would yield desirable results while gaming.

I think it mainly boils down to the processor. Theres no real good reason to get one over the other in this comparison. I would lean towards the 15" laptop though. I have a ~17" laptop and it is kind of a hassle to lug it around in my backpack. Plus it doesn't really fit on the desks at school. :(
