HP Laptop Issues

I have owned an HP Pavilion DV6 2009ax for almost two and a half years, it has been an excellent laptop, no problems what so ever, but for about the last month and a half I have been having serious issues, when I plug in the AC Adaptor the screen goes black, the laptop works fine on battery, but maybe 48 hours later the laptop will work fine with the ac adaptor plugged in, but 95% of the time the laptop can not be used with an AC Adaptor, I have tried reinstall of Windows 7, and it worked for a while, I have also tried a different AC adaptor (Universal) and it still happens, the laptop will boot up with the AC plugged in then after about two seconds the screen goes black, this does not include the BIOS, it stays on with the AC Adaptor plugged in when in the BIOS, I can post a video of what happens if someone wants it. Can someone help me, I have tried a BIOS update and it made no difference.

Every Answer is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I found this solution in this forum http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Batteries-and-Power/Laptop-shuts-down-as-soon-as-adapter-plugged-in/td-p/114041, credit goes to mominafiz

I got the solution to this problem... but it will slow down your laptop but at least it will work.

what u need to do is ...

go to safe mode: restart ur laptop....at bios screen ..keep on typing F8 ...select run in safe mode.

go to start--> control panel --> device manager ---> processor ---> disable one of two processor ---> reboot your system normally.

it should work , it did for me.
