Question HP LAPTOP WILL CONNECT IN ONE ROOM & NOT ANOTHER

My HP laptop will not connect in one room (room with router) but not another room where my husband's HP laptop connects with no problem in the 2nd room. I've done ALL the TROUBLESHOOTING with HP, I've searched the error messages that I get, performed all the tasks to fix it with no luck. The error message I receive is "problem with wireless adapter or access point" and "there might be a problem with the driver or Wi-Fie adapter."

How strong of a signal do you get in that other room? Did all the troubleshooting involve checking for a newer BIOS and drivers from HP support? Bit hard to suggest things without knowing what you did already. Has it ever worked?
