HP or Dell?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to decide between an HP 14-ab154ca (http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/hewlett-packard-hp-pavilion-14-laptop-silver-intel-core-i5-5200u-1tb-hdd-8gb-ram-windows-10-14-ab154ca/10393549.aspx?path=f4b2096bbdc19dc42192b9fc02e66fb6en02)

And a Dell Inspiron i5558 (http://www.amazon.ca/Dell-Inspiron-15-i5558-5718SLV-Signature/dp/B018LH6FWK)

It will be for basic web surfing, skyping and word processing tasks, as well as watching movies (why I need an optical drive).

Any thoughts for those more technologically-savvy than myself? Thanks!

frankly they are both rather pricey for what they have. but the second one is far more worth it, as a 1080p screen will be much better. have you considered a mid range gaming laptop? you would get more power for the price.
