Solved! HP Pavilion dv7 built in web camera present

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 and when I go to the device manager and look under Imaging devices there is nothing there. I have a built in HP TrueVision HD camera. I have reinstalled the drivers but when I go to search for the camera it says that there is not one installed.

Is show Hidden Devices checked?

Yes I have shown all hidden devices

Windows 10?

Try the built in Troubleshooters.

They may find and fix something.

ran the troubleshooter and it did not fix the problem

Sorry I missed the first part of that last one. I started out with Windows 7 and then it finally upgraded me to Windows 10 even though I did not want it to.

Did you reinstall HP's webcam drivers for Windows 7 or Windows 10?
