My HP Pavilion DV 6 is stuck on update. It says it's not her percent complete. I turned the computer on and off hold it for five seconds. Nothing worked.

Try making sure that the laptop has no way at all to access WiFi. So either turn off your WiFi or take it somewhere there isn't any. Then try restarting it.

If the problem was due to a download or update issue (which is very common) then this should resolve it. Once it is going again you can turn on your WiFi or go back to where there is WiFi.
