Hp pavilion ze4900 forum

Hello,
Someone recently gave us an HP Pavilion ze4900. We were going to let our daughter use it for school but when we fired it up it was woefully slow. Is this machine worth upgrading or should we look for a newr replacement.

Yes an extremely slow unit. Likely has 256MB original system Ram which causes XP to time out frequently. The unit I have had since new is agonizingly slow with SP3 even with 512 MB RAM. Buy a new notebook with new technology and save yourself a lot of time and frustration. Check the Notebook forum for further help.
