Anybody try upgrading the OS from Win8.1 to Win10 along with the other recommended HP software updates?
I did and what you have left over free space on the 20Gb SSD(after format)is 2Gb. This renders the SSD unusable. Any further updates to Win10 OS and or HP software is questionable at best.
I think it's disingenuous of HP to be selling the HP Stream Mini 200-100 with the 32Gb SSd without warning customers of this shortcoming.

I would expect you can get most of this back. There's a hidden, probably system folder, where your Win 8 resides. IF!! you're OK with Win 10, you can delete this, and you'll get back probably around 10-12 Gb.

But it is a point, for those Stream boxes and some of the other extremely small, low-power, and very low-priced systems where you have Win 8.1 + Bing pre-installed (at a major discount). Such systems do, at times, just come with 32 Gb SSDs.

The upgrade to Win10 is a crap shoot at best for even the most savvy computer user out there much less deleting hidden files in the system folder.
I'm having to reload my entire Win7 OS(different computer) because Win10 did not like my Norton Anti-virus program.
Think I'll be sticking with Win7 for quite some time after this mess.

I upgraded my 200-010 to Win 10 and sure enough, wound up with about 2.7GB left. Well, I found that "Hidden File" and did recover to about 13GB. But, woe is me! MS comes up with another update. I can download it but it always fails to install. I guess parts of it did because now I'm back down to 4.1GB. WTF! Can't find that hidden folder now so just half an hour ago I bought a Samsung 250GB Evo SSD. For right now, Win 10 seems to be functioning properly but I'm still a little confused. Don't know whether or not I'm fully updated, don't think so for when I check for updates the same one keeps showing up but it won't install.

I also just bought a Samsung 250GB Evo SSD to deal with the overly small SSD that came with the 200-010.
It will be interesting upgrade.
If you delete the Windowns/temp files I believe that will enable you to redownload the latest MS updates then reinstall them.

Some how, I was able to upgrade Windows10 on the small SSD. The 1511 version. But I'll still put the Samsung in over the weekend. Hope I don't have to re-download the MS updates. That whole process took about 2 hours.

I'll be putting my Samsung in soon. Just got to get through this Xmas rigamarole. It's too long but you got it to work? Great. Is that Magician software easy to use?...Tony

Yes but that maybe because I'm familiar with it. This is my second Samsung SSD.
