Hey, I have a HP 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop (not sure of the make). I've had it for almost 2 years and yesterday I left it to charge and when I came back to it (it was still supposed to be turned on) it kept making ghhhghhhhhghhhjjjjjj sound (I don't know how else to put it in words) and I couldn't get it to start up again so I tried to turn it on and get it to respond but it didn't and it kept making the sound. I then held down the off button in order to just get it to turn off in hope that it would be okay and then i immediately turned it on again and it did the same thing and I didn't know what to do so I shut it off again and left it and hoped that it would turn on and be okay later on. I turned it on today and the lights wouldn't even come on, I plugged in the charger but to no avail. It's gone and I'm not sure if it will work again. Help???? Is there anything I can do????

Hi, first verify your adapter, if it will output the voltage written on it, if the voltage is good, do you have any light coming on when you push the power button?

I'm pretty sure it's the right voltage and everything and no lights at all. This started happening after my laptop was fully charged by the way.

So, if your adapter is good, the battery is full charge, and when you press the power button you have no light on, then something on the motherboard burned. Maybe this will do nothing, but you have nothing to loose, remove the battery unplug the adapter, hold down the power button for one minute, reconnect just the adapter and try starting the laptop.
