Are we going to be getting Hulu Plus available in Canada? Really, I have no problem with paying a (small) fee for watching shows and stuff (as long as it's commercial free), but Canada just doesn't have the option.

In the U.S. yes. In canada the pricing scheme for gold and pricing/points scheme for points cards has not changed either.

But, needing Live Gold doesn't surprise me. Nor really should it anybody. Microsoft needs to control the data going through their network

still up in the air about hulu plus but nto requiring psn plus to use it is a check mark in its favor since my computer and tv are on opposite ends of the house and hulu isn't the same in a desk chair on my 19 inch nonwidescreen monitor... and i'm to lazy to lug the box and hook it up across the house

Hulu only streams at 720p. So your 1080p resolution of the ps3 doesnt matter.
