Hulu's On Demand Service May Come to PS3

Pretty good stuff. I lost almost all channels (with antenna) with the switch to digital and I am way too cheap to pay for cable or sat. $10 sounds reasonable to me.

So they are bringing it BACK to the PS3, since they blocked it a while back. I'd use it if it were free on my console, otherwise the HDMI cable running from my PC to my TV does the job just fine.

Same here. But soon, generic hulu access will probably also be subscription based. The "free" portal will probably just be last weeks episodes (not this weeks, you missed last nights airing you gotta wait 6 days), and not 2 weeks ago (you went on vacation, that's your problem, shoulda set your DVR (which we circumvented by shifting all our shows 5-minutes, hope you like the ending of the show that started before yours better, sucker)).

Face it, TV companies are advertising companies, that's all they are. We think we skip over commercials to get back to their product, but the commercials ARE their product.

Still, I'll miss Hulu when it goes pay-per-view and becomes dead to me. But I guess the networks have a point, I watch too much TV anyway. Thanks Big 4/3 (does ABC really count as a network anymore, I couldn't name one show they have?), you've taught me that there are better things to do than watch your crappy shows.

I interested in the premium service. If it actually gives us full access to all seasons of shows (and those shows remain on Hulu), quick access to TV shows after they air, no commercials, and an expanded library of shows and movies, it will be a good deal. $10 a month is cheap as crap. Heck I think they could get away with more than that. For those of us who are not heavy sports or news watchers, it's a steal. Cable/Satellite/IPTV costs a fortune and a lot of us only watch several channels consistently for our favorite shows.

Hulus' free service has been dying. Usually only 5 rolling episodes are available at a time. Bleh!

Hulu's free stuff isn't cutting it anymore and i almost have to resort to using iTunes to catch up on some seasons.... Now if they make it competitive i'm all game.

The cable companies will still hate this, so I'm cool with it. A lot of people only watch a handful of shows and pay for channels they don't need, Hulu getting in deals with all the major networks would eliminate the need for cable TV. 10 dollars for the channels I use is much better than 50 for 50 channels I don't want.
Hulu just needs to do this fairly. Want to go premium? That's cool, I expect no commercials though. Either make your money through advertising or make your money through subscriptions, but not both. Oh, wait...cable companies already do that...

I live in Japan, if it's 10 a month for anywhere. My family will definitively be signing up. We get good Japanese TV, but its nice to be able to watch some good American TV too.

Well there's a huge difference between netflix and hulu. Netflix you stream movies and on Hulu you stream shows.

Given netflix has seasons but it's not the same as Hulu where they have last nights episode up to watch.
