I am deaf in one ear and impaired in the other. I need to add Bluetooth to my tv for me but not turn off the tv speakers

If I plug the Bluetooth transmitter into the audio out ports won't it turn off the internal speakets?
I have a special pair of head phones that vibrate on the bone behind my ears that allow me to hear from my "deaf" eat. Great, works for me but my wife does not like wearing head phones so I need to keep the speakers active.

On most TVs the internal speakers keep working if something is plugged into the audio out port.
