Discussion I am going from Android to Iphone and need some help

First I will like to mention that I am not expert user of mobile technology android or iOS. I am using my phone for emails, web searching and sometimes watching Netflix, I am android user for all my life and not high end phones, I was using the cheap CAT phones for the last 10-12 years since I was working with metal works and fibreglass and honestly they can take hits.
I always liked i phones, don't ask me why because I don't know either. Just I like them and always wanted one. But because of my daily use in the garage I couldn't risk to buy expensive phones.
Finally now I order the 17 pro max (it will arrive in 2-3 weeks) and I need some help. I search in the web for the camera , battery and heat and there are so many different answers. So as a new owner I join here for some help.
Many users say that camera need some adjustment to work properly if that is correct can you please advise how to?
What is the battery life for normal use?
And about the heat When I order the i phone a sales man ask me if i want a case and i told him that i already order supcase, Then he told me that I will have serious heat problem, anyone else has this issues with rugged case?

That is a fairly bulky case. The iPhone is fairly durable. I would think adding a screen protection film and a less bulky case would be sufficient.

I have used Spigen cases for many years. I have been very pleased with their performance.

Congrats on your latest version iPhone 17 Pro Max! For the camera, it works great out of the box but you can try adjusting settings like focus and exposure if needed. Battery life should last a full day with normal use like emails and Netflix. As for heat, some cases can trap heat but rugged cases usually protect well without big problems. Just keep an eye on it, and you should be fine. Enjoy your new phone.

I also use a Supecase for my work iPhone. My case has a built in screen protection cover. It's a very good choice in my opinion.
As for switching from Android to iPhone, expect an adjustment period.

You will find yourself lost sometimes in the way Android and iOS are built differently, and their user interface is not the same. But with repetition and time, you'll eventually get used to it.

For the heat, I would just keep a feel for it, but as far as I know, this is not a problem. My iPhone overheated a few times while being under the sun, and just putting it in the shadow, away from the sun, it cooled down without issues, regardless of the bulky case.

I think your biggest challenge is the getting used to iOS, but it's only temporary; However, there are some people who can't get used to the switch and will revert back to their initial operating system. It happens in both ways, from Android/iOS to iOS/Android.

Thanks for the info. My sister switch 2 years ago to iphone and at the beginning she was thinking to go back, but now she is super happy with iOS. It will be difficult but I think i will like it?

I wouldn't call it difficult,
If your main usage is emails, searches, and streaming, then you'll get used to it.

There are certainly Apple "haters", but they make excellent products that are very user friendly. No one forces a consumer to buy one of their products. That is a choice.

Different does not be better or worse, just different.

I my previous professional capacity, I carried both an Android and Apple smartphone with me, nearly 24/7. I had nearly zero issues moving back and forth. Every once in a while, I had to look up a quick "how to/reminder" when crossing ecosystems.

My daughter has a Macbook Pro and Mac Mini, purchased for college in 2008. They both still work (not her daily driver by a long shot). Apple makes durable hardware.

iOS is great so far. battery life is better than i expect and no heat. I am supper happy with it
