yes you can upgrade your laptop's ram.

You only told us the series of the laptop. We need to know the model number before we can help because that makes a huge difference. For all I know, it could use DDR2 or DDR3 memory, it could be maxed out already, it could be at the minimum memory capacity for it's model.

Go to http/www.crucial.com/index.aspx

download the "scan my computer"

run it when it finishes downloading. It should tell you what you can do to upgrade your memory.

You can download it by hovering the mouse over the "Memory (RAM)" tab in the upper left hand corner of the website
