I am shopping for a laptop for in home streaming

I would like to purchase a laptop for in home streaming from my desktop. My max price is about $400, but I would like to go as low as possible. I want to be able to stream games and other applications at low latency. Do you have any suggestions for a laptop? Also, how do I know if my router is good enough?

You can't "stream" games to a laptop from a desktop, unless you just mean "view" what is going on like you to on Twitch. Any remote connection to a desktop from a laptop will have too much video lag and quality issues to be usable, even over ethernet.
