I can't do a screen shot on my j2 prime

And how are you trying to do it? I have never seen an Android phone not take a screenshot unless the buttons were broken or you use the wrong buttons to try it.

The correct buttons are Volume Down and Power pressed together to take the screen shot. If not working, I am then with hang-the-9.
