I cant get sound from my surround sound system when i connect my external hard drive to my tv via the usb port i do get pictur

I have Panasonic surround sound system and Panasonic tv that's fine but when I connect my external hard drive into the usb port I get picture but no sound from s.s.s but I do from tv

It seems that some TVs won't output audio from streaming or usb sources. You can use something like a WD TV media box (or Android TV) to connect the drive to the TV via HDMI. That should work.
