What cable are you using?
What are you using for the audio output ex. speakers?

If you are connecting via HDMI and the projector does have a speaker in it then you need to go into the laptop audio control and select HDMI as you audio device.
If you are connecting with a video only connection and the projector has a speaker in it you will need to connect the headphone output of the laptop to the audio input on the projector.
