Owning two Glis, they will never match instant torque of regular EV with similar power .
The fuel tank seems smaller than the 14 gallons mine have.My range is usually 380 to 480 miles. I can get over 38 mpg on highway speed . The GLI is a useful sedan with large cargo space, fuel efficient, zippy and reasonably priced .
