I get onto the recovery screen but then when I press the volume down its skips one so I can't click wipe of all user data but sometimes it lets my press it but them when it comes up with no or yes it skips the yes option, what shall I do? I need to reset it because I've forgot my password

There's always a way of entering your phone, even if you did forget your SIM code/phone lock code/Google account password.

Anyways, try doing Fastboot erase from a PC...
