Question I got 'ratted'

After I downloaded a mod for minecraft, it started saying 'you have logged in from another location' and all my items are gone. I now don't want to play minecraft because i'm scared that i could lose all my progress.

Oh the joys of untrusted software. Bad things can (and do) happen when you run software with an unknow origin. Perhaps someone here can advise you. You might be better off going to a minecraft forum and asking there. I did a quick internet search on minecraft mod problem and saw a lot of article. Also try that search with the name of the mod. Good luck!
