I have a 55in smart tv and a blue ray sound system I have all the cords hooked up but still no sound from my tv

I have a new 55 in FLAT SCREEN and and blue ray sound system I have the optical n hdmi hooked up but no sound

You may have to turn the optical output on, the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type to get it to work. Make sure you have selected the optical as the input on the HTS.
