Hisense 32 TV will not power up after a storm last night that caused the loss in power for several hours..i tried to turn the TV on this morning and it would not turn on....

Even if you had the TV on a surge protector most of them are pretty bad out of the box and then they wear out with time.
The power supply board is the first likely place to be affected. You can check with
www.shopjimmy.com
They sell replacement boards and are very helpful.

Your PSU in the TV could be dead. Also, if you have it plugged into a power strip, the outage may have caused the protection circuit to trip and you simply need to reset your strip. How do you have it plugged in? Strip or direct wall connection?
