I have a HP G60, I connect my HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV and I get no picture or sound

I have a HP G60, I connect my HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV and I get no picture or sound. I also have a HP Pavilion I connect the HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV and it works fine. HELP

I presume you did the same process on the g60 as you did on the Pavilion?
